The Wheel of Destiny

On April 19th, 2016, Runes of Magic introduced a total revamp of the Item Shop and the Wheel of Destiny. Immediate problems with the Wheel led to some fast changes to stabilize it. Common crafting materials were removed and other "good" Item Shop items were added. As of April 21st this is how the Wheel looks.

First, in a popup, you are shown all the possible items you can win on the Wheel on all 3 Levels. Close this popup to see the actual Wheel as it appears in the above image.

On May 4th, 2016 they extended the timer from 15 minutes to 1 hour.

On November 5th, 2020, the Wheel returned with new prizes and prices.

The Wheel of Destiny Spinning

Round and round she goes...

Mechanics[ | ]

All players start at Level 1, and it takes 6 Keys to unlock the next level. To earn a Key you must land on one of the spaces that has a Key on it's rim. Once you unlock Level 2 or Level 3 you have a 1 hour time limit to spin again (which resets the expire timer). If the timer expires you are dropped back to Level 1. You can also click on a button to return to Level 1 (with 0 keys) immediately.

When you spin, the prizes are first randomized, then the spinner appears and begins travelling clockwise (deosil) around the Wheel. When it stops you win the item on that space. Note that the same item can appear in more than one space, changing the odds somewhat.

  • If the landing slot has a Key on it's rim, you gain a Key and advance towards unlocking the next Level.
  • If the landing slot is Metallic, you win the "Jackpot".

Costs[ | ]

The cost per spin starts at 30Diamonds  and is higher for each level.

Stub They raised the price per level when they re-released the Wheel. They also added a Ruby Bonus. We need the cost to spin in level 3.

Jackpots[ | ]

These lists are the available prizes when you land on a metallic slot and win the Jackpot for that Level. There is some overlap between the jackpots and regular prizes. There is no list available for all possible regular prizes. Patch 7.4.0.6922 re-launched the Wheel with some changes to the prizes available. At level 1, the chance to get a Jackpot prize each spin is 1 in 16 (6.25%).

"Unlisted" lists items that were NOT in the "Potential Prizes" display but we still got them.

Prizes land in your "Item Depot", not in your Item Shop Backpack.
