Warrior / Champion is an extremely dangerous class to play, but with enough practice and understanding, it can deal some of the highest damage available to Warriors. The combination doesn't focus on "burn windows" to deal damage; it instead has consistently high damage throughout a fight. Since almost every attack consumes the player's own health, it's a good idea to either invest in health potions (preferably Phirius Potions), or to invest in a friend that can provide healing for you. It would also be good courtesy to tell your healer that you drop health fast, so they aren't shocked at how quickly your health depletes.
Main Ways of Build[ | ]
Strength and Stamina are of the utmost importance when gearing up. Though Dexterity wouldn't hurt for some accuracy, Strength is a direct damage increase for all of the damaging skills; Unbridled Rage is a good example of how important Strength is. However, Stamina is just as important because almost every damaging skill consumes a part or portion of your own health. This gives Warrior / Champion a very high-risk / high-reward playstyle.
Despite how powerful Slash is, because of how much health it consumes, it's not a good idea to mindlessly spam it. A very basic combo is to open with Stifling Attack to reduce the enemy's defense, use a Slash to increase attack speed, and then move on to Bloody Slash against a single target, or Whirlwind against a group of enemies. Against a boss, spamming Slash and Vendetta Blow while Unbridled Rage and Blood Rune Weapon are up is a viable option, especially since Bloody Battle can be used to compensate for the lost health through Slash. Again, be sure to notify your healer that you lose health quickly, so they can keep an eye on you. Whirlwind can be used against a single target to help recover health, if need be.
PvP is more difficult with this combo because health is probably the most important resource to a player, and its skills actively consume it. While Fearless Rune is a nice tool to have against enemy spellcasters, and your aggressive physical damage and Shock Strike gaining a Slow effect makes you a threat against other physical classes, it would definitely behoove you to work with a team rather than always relying on yourself to survive in these environments.
