To find this mob in-game, use BACKSPACE to open the World Search window, then enter Thorny Sand Viper in the Search field and click "Search". Remember, the field is case-sensitive and must be entered exactly as shown.
A Word About Common Drops: Every mob in the game has a chance to drop Sigils, Health Potions, Mana Potions, Ammunition, Runes and Festival Items, as well as a few rarer items such as 
Amulet of Light. For this reason, we discourage listing them in the Known Drops section. See Common Drop Table for more information. This monster has a Monster Compendium card, 
Card - Thorny Sand Viper, that can be earned by killing it and looting the corpse. You can right-click the card to copy it into your Monster Compendium. Do the same to remove the card from your Monster Compendium.
Keeping this card in your Monster Compendium will grant a stat boost of +2 Stamina so long as this card remains in your book.
Found in the area just outside Earthsprings Village.
His Snake Venom cannot be removed with Cure Poison or 
Cleanse, which makes one wonder why they bother.
The 
Snakeskin with Broken Scales does drop even when you do not have the quest, [61][Daily] Water Saving Method, so you can stockpile them. They are also not bound so you can sell them on the Auction House or mail them to alts.
