The Protruding Earth Mound can be located using World Search, so it is recommended you use it. When you find the spot marked on the map there is a bent tree there. Move you mouse around it until you see "Protruding Earth Mound" popup on your UI. It is a pile of earth at the base of the tree. Click it to complete this quest.
