Classicon ranger mage Scout / Mage-- The Magic Tricks Scout

Main Way of Playing[ | ]

The Scout / Mage has a ranged DPS role that gives the Scout magical burst potential as opposed to its typical physical prowess. Aesthetically, it fits the role of a wilderness ranger that uses magic to overcome sudden setbacks. Key attributes include Dexterity, Stamina, and Intellect; more specifically, Physical Attack helps amplify important abilities.

Key skills include Shot, Wind Arrows, and Combo Shot.

Skill ran mag60 Cross-Domain Discipline 60 Allows you to equip a staff. When you do and you hit a target with your Wind Arrows, there is a chance that it will carry (40 + 0.1 * INT) Wind damage. +2.4 per level
Skill ran mag70 Wind Return 70 Earns you a Wind Return effect after your Gone with the Wind effect wears off. Increases Physical Attack Power by 1% and Magical Attack Power by 1%. Also recovers 20 HP every two seconds. Lasts 6 seconds.

Tips and Tactics[ | ]

  • S/M is just pure dps fun. Ignite is the most OP AoE/CC in the game in imho. STE farms go pretty fast when you can ignite for 600-700k hits using a modified t-storm macro, that aoe spam kills pretty much any group. Ignite is a physical dps skill, so stacking patk + pdmg buffs helps a lot. So using food & pots, it's easy to get in > 1 mil ignites on bosses. I generally stat using dex/patk, int/patk, dex/int because Ignite also adds like 10% of your intelligence per hit. It's not a lot, but that's like an additional 1.4k w/ 14k int. Here I use cibel set + the lvl 85 set for double pdmg buffs, T8 statted 2-h staff & +23 T12 xbow. Most of the boss fights, with a k/w, Ignite burn is nasty at the beginning & then just cycle through pew pew skills :)
  • Switching to a Mage / Scout gives the player a magical DPS role for a different feel of play.
