Life in Taborea can be hard and unyielding. Guilds fight each other over the smallest patch of land. Every new aspiring adventurer is fresh meat for the old sharks who roam the lands. Whatever path an adventurer chooses, be it good or evil, to become a Hero or Demon, there is always a reward to be won.
On Taborea PvP is "open". That means there are only a few limitations on who can be attacked and who can not.
Once a character has reached a certain experience level, he or she can become "PK" and participate in Player vs. Player ("PvP") fights. Here players can prove their skill - fighting each other individually or as part of a group or guild.
Characters need to achieve level 15 and need to have completed the introductory PvP / PK quest in Varanas before they can enable their PK flag and actively participate in battle. One can obtain this quest from Lehman in the Class Hall.
Please Note: On the PvE (Player vs. Environment) server PvP is only possible in duels and when both players have flagged themselves "PK". Also the rules below do not affect players on PvE servers.

Reputation and Titles[ | ]
Through your PvP achievements, you character gains (or loses) reputation and can move either way to become a Hero, fighting for Good or an evil Demon.
All characters start out "good" (with 0 reputation points) and will - the more they fight - gain negative reputation. Over time aggressive players can become so infamous that city guards will attack them on sight.
The character's status is reflected by the colour of their name displayed above the character.

Example: The name of a player with a reputation of -150 or more will be displayed in red; the name of a player with a reputation of 90 or more will be shown in blue.
All characters start as "good" (white) and will, the more characters they defeat or the more they are defeated by notoriously infamous PvP characters, lose reputation.

Example: When a "good" (white) character is killed by a character with an orange name ("evil"), the victim loses 0 points. If a "good" character with a blue name is killed by a evil "red" name, the blue player loses 6 points reputation.
Characters can, however, be redeemed by only fighting for the good cause. If they decide to only fight infamous characters (i.e. players with a negative reputation), they can gain reputation and, when persistent, become heroes.

Example: A "blue" character killing a "red" character, "blue" gains 3 points. If a "red" character defeats a "blue" character, "red" loses 20 points.
Regaining Reputation[ | ]
There are ways to reduce negative reputation apart from fighting evil characters:
- Spending time in game without actively PvP'ing regains the character 1 point of reputation for every 20 minutes logged in.
- Killing monsters that are at least 5+ levels higher than the character, earns the character 0.02 reputation. This does not apply to monsters in instances.
Benefits and Disadvantages[ | ]
With status come certain perks and disadvantages. Characters can gain titles and there are certain items that only they can get. Good characters can benefit from an increase in hitpoints and a lowered chance of losing items. Evil characters hit harder and can gain additional TP but they will likely lose more loot.

Notes[ | ]
- All characters (except "White") will have access to special items and / or titles in the Item Shop.
- All loot is randomly picked from all equipment - on the body and in the backpack. Items that were bought in the Item Shop are excluded.
Friends / Enemies list[ | ]
It is easy to make enemies - but can you remember their names? Who was that Mage who cast a fireball yesterday that defeated you? And who was that Rogue whose dagger pierced through your carefully woven chain mail?
When fighting fiercely people tend to make enemies. And with many people fighting, it sometimes is hard to track who you fought and who made you bite the dust.
To keep an eye on the people, that last defeated your character, there is an automated list keeping track of the last 20 players who fought and defeated you - so you always know who your top targets are.
Players are informed every time an enemy or the person whose target list they are on, logs in.
Basic PvP Rules[ | ]
- Characters below level 15 can not be attacked when they haven't flagged themselves "PK" ("PvP").
- It is not possible to fight in houses or instances.
- Grouped players can not attack their teammates.
- Patrolling guards will kill any "red name" players (characters with a reputation of -150 or less) on sight. There are patrols in all the major cities.
- Characters will not drop loot drop when the attacker is 10 levels higher or lower than the attacked character.
- Only "red name" characters can attack patrolling NPCs.
- Items dropped by characters are randomly picked from all equipment - on the body and in the backpack. Items acquired in the Item Shop are excluded and will not be dropped when defeated.
Enemy List[ | ]
- Characters that have defeated another character are considered Enemies. Their name will automatically be listed on the "Enemy List".
- A maximum of 20 players can be on this list.
- When a character on that list is defeated, the original victim has taken revenge and the name is removed from the list.
- When the list is full and the character is defeated again, the oldest entry on the list is removed and the recent attacker is added.
- The original attacker (the enemy) and the original victim will be notified every time the other comes online.
