Spoiler Alert! We have some more information about how to perform this quest but recognize you might want to try it on your own before we tell you the secret...

The Giant Marsh Wolves are Hidden! As you roam about the nearby area and wander near one, he will come out of hiding and attack you! There is no way to detect them in hiding, but when they respawn you can see them for just a moment as they cast Hide. In my wanderings I have only found 4 spots where they spawn: 26.8, 34.7 28.5, 34.2 25.3, 39.5 5.3, 39.3 (south of the Woodsprings Village Ruins) I am sure there are more. Feel free to add the locations if you find them. Sometimes, possibly due to a bug, the wolves are visible. We have never been able to intentionally recreate this condition.
