Mage / Scout takes advantage of Scout's Shot skill to deal large amounts of magical damage, and also has the option of summoning an ally. One of the better options for a Mage combination, it provides consistent damage through its Fire Rose and deal sudden burst, not just through Fire Rose Explosion or Fireball, but also through Shot itself. Even disregarding Shot gives this combo Fire Arrow and (eventually) Power of the Wind, which are two of the strongest buffs to increase spellcasting success.
Like most Mage classes, Intelligence is the most important stat, since it not only boosts spell damage but also increase Shot's physical damage. Wisdom and Stamina play a lesser, yet still important, role.
Main Ways of Build[ | ]
This combination is fairly straightforward. Shot deals high damage. Fire Rose leads into Fire Rose Explosion for high damage. Flame and Fireball supplement the heavy fire focus of the build, and Thundclap, Lightning, and Joint Blow gives the combo room for escape. There's nothing particularly challenging about Mage / Scout, yet in spite of this it has a decent standing in group PvE.
