The game system uses these flags to indicate conditions that are not easily tested for by other means. We know very, very few of them, but this page will be used to collect what we do know.

Some keys are named, some are not and are known only by their GUID. If it has a name we will use that name to identify it, else the GUID.

There are 6 types of Keyitems:

  • Craft - Opens a new rank of a crafting profession. Must be earned every 20 levels.
  • Dailyflag - These flags are globally cleared/reset each morning, and are used to track your progress in sequentially-locked groups of quests (like Event Daily quests).
  • Invisible - These are occult and mysterious, and frequently have no trace of a clue to how you unlock it, but you MUST unlock it to do something else (like start a specific quest or group of quests). Ideally, if you have done everything the NPCs have asked of you, you may never notice if these are set or not.
  • Key
  • Normal
  • Recipe - Crafting recipes do not go in a physical book, they simply set a flag identifying that you have learned that recipe. We will NOT list them on this page! See Category:Recipe (Item Type) if you need a list.
  • Skillbook - This is how the system tracks what Skills you have available. Not just Class skills but everything. ISS, Temporary, Transportation, etc.

Keytype: Dailyflag[]

There are 27 PAGES of Dailyflags and very few have any hint of what they do.

These flags are cleared each day during the Server Daily Reset. Usually, this is 6am Server Time.

Keytype: Invisible[]

There is no visible way to determine if you have these flags, or not, but not having them generally means you will not be able to do something (like start a quest).

Stub The RoM-Welten database lists 339 pages of Invisible Keyitems. Obviously, we are never going to list all of them here, but we will try to list any that we discover the trigger for and/or what they do.
