I am very sorry. The Mayor's Golden Statue was not sold. I returned it when the auction expired.

He is probably too busy dealing with new adventurers to collect the letter himself, so you are tasked with getting the letter. You can go and look in the Logar mailbox. You should be able to find my letter with the returned goods there.

About the Auction House (2)
When you put your items for sale at the Auction House, they are mailed directly to the buyer if purchased, or returned to the seller if the auction expires without any bids. The seller or buyer can collect the item at any mailbox.

About the Mailbox
The mailbox is where letters are sent and received. Letters are one of several communication channels between players. In addition to providing a written medium for communication, letters can also be sent with items. Other systems in the game (such as the Auction House) will also utilize the mail function.
