- for a combined table showing all harvestable resources through level 96, see Resource Nodes
Resources are broken up into two classes, Common Resources and Rare resources. Common resources start out gatherable at level 1 and a new tier is available usually every 6 subsequent levels later (Level 1, 8, 14, 20, 26, 32, 38, 44, 51, 57, 63, 69, 75, 81, 86). Rare resources start out also gatherable at level 1 but a new tier is available every subsequent 10 levels (1, 11, 21, 31, 41, 51, 61, 71, 81). Common resources are easily available within the area that they spawn in and the nodes are always at the same locations. Occasionally a node that spawns a common resource will instead spawn a rare resource that is in the same general level range as the common resource that normally spawns there. Note that resources will respawn over time.
Once your skills reach the level 20, 40, 60 or 80, it will be capped. You can continue to gather and refine resources but you will not gain experience for it. To uncap you progress, you will need to talk to the basic instructor for the skill in question and realize an easy gathering quest.
Sometimes the level needed to gather a material is a bit higher than the level needed to refine it (or to buy a refinement recipe). In such case, both levels should be noted in this page - indicating the gathering level and the refinement / recipe level.
