This monster has a Monster Compendium card,  Card - Fruit Cactus, that can be earned by killing it and looting the corpse. You can right-click the card to copy it into your Monster Compendium. Do the same to remove the card from your Monster Compendium.

Keeping this card in your Monster Compendium will grant a stat boost of +5 Defense so long as this card remains in your book.

Notes about Cactus Spawning in Dust Devil Canyon A Needle Cactus has a 50/50 chance to re-spawn as a Needle Cactus or Flower Cactus. Since a Flower Cactus or Fruit Cactus re-spawns as a Fruit Cactus or Flower Cactus, once a Needle Cactus re-spawns as a Flower Cactus the Needle Cactus population is permanently reduced until the next server re-boot. This makes the Needle Cactus very rare and hard to find.
