The above-ground abandoned church, and the first below-ground level. Contains the entrances to 2 dungeons: the Forsaken Abbey and the Bloody Gallery.
An interesting note: IF you get into trouble while hunting in the first room, among the Carrion Spiders, Rat-ear Bats, and Obsessive Shadows, you can throw yourself into the portal to the Bloody Gallery to escape them. The entrance room is safe and you can heal-up there. However, when you exit the Dungeon the portal deposits you in the church, above-ground, near the altar (inconvenient but also safe).

Sometimes, when you exit the Bloody Gallery you may appear under the floor/geometry in the church. You should be able to jump back up onto firm land. |

Background[]
Built some 70 years ago, the abbey had to be abandoned 40 years later. Once it was used by an ominous organization, which, while keeping its identity secret, has worked alongside the Eye of Wisdom on forbidden magical experiments.
30 years ago an accident happened and almost completely annihilated the organization. After this incident the abbey was abandoned. Now the interior has become a fearsome place with hordes of restless Undead wandering around.

Forsaken Abbey is located in Silverspring, northwest of Varanas. The entrance is located on the lower level of the church underneath the sarcophagus. Touching the candle stick will move the stone slab.
