Spoiler Alert! We have some more information about how to perform this quest but recognize you might want to try it on your own before we tell you the secret...
Talk to Soul of the Registry Clerk to tell him you are ready. He activates his memories of the battlefield. I am NOT 100% sure you have to kill the enemy ghosts. Judging by other similar encounters, you only need to take aggro away from Shadow of Lajos Halka, and then survive the encounter until the memory ends.
