This page refers to content introduced in the expansion, Chapter V: Fires of Shadowforge.
Each Darkwater Source produces different Monstrosities:
- By Varanas Bridge: Level 20 Darkwater Monstrosity (Shadow) - drops Crystal Shard
- By the Goblin Farm: Level 30 Elite Darkwater Monstrosity (Gargoyle). - drops Crystal Shard
- Black Blood Caravan: Level 40 Elite Darkwater Monstrosity (Ooze). We do not know the item drops for this circle (probably Crystal Shard).
- At the south tip of the pond near the Zurhidon Camp in Tagena: Level 50 Darkwater Monstrosity (Beast) (Reptilian Beast) - drops Darkwater Crystal and Crystal Shard
- Unknown Location: Level 60 Elite Gluttonous Darkwater Aberration (Sand Scorpion) - drops a full Darkwater Crystal, not just a Crystal Shard
- We have been unable to locate this circle, but analysis of the others indicates it should be near water. Lake of Magic Mist is NOT the location.
Crystal Exchange NPCs Parson [Haidon Artisan] (Varanas Lower City West) and Falakens [Haidon Artisan] and (Varanas Lower City East):
- Give Crystal Shard ×5 to get one Darkwater Crystal
- Give Darkwater Crystal ×5 to earn a Peacemaker's Gift.
When the server-wide total of all 
Darkwater Crystals surrendered reaches 25,000 the Chaos Vortex event will move to the Instance Phase. The server adds Darkwater Crystal ×3 every 60 seconds so the maximum time for the Materials Phase is 6.2 days.
