Used by (example):
- Wailing Worm - 100 HP damage per tic
This monster attack/effect can by cured with Antidote (among others).
Magic-users have ways to remove several types of bad effects, or debuffs. No one skill can remove them all, and not every debuff can be removed. There is also a roll-off between your level, the skill level, and the effect's level to determine if the effect is removed successfully.
Priests possess the widest variety of Curative skills, followed by Druids and, finally, Mages. No other classes have Curative skills.
Generally, those effects that can be removed (most of the time) fall into one of the following categories:
- Harmful Effects (such as most DoTs)
- Charm Effects (such as Fear and Stun)
- Curses (generally more powerful Harmful Effects)
- Movement Effects (such as Root or Slow)

Warlock is the only magic-using class that has no Curative skills (because, seriously, making things better is not really his jam).
The above table displays the Cure skills available and what 'Effects' they can remove.
This table is a work-in-progress and should NOT be considered exhaustive.
