This combination utilizes the Champion's excellent tanking skills and hones them into a deadly machine. Your skills allow you to have a higher regeneration and accumulation of rage, as well as modifying your shield form to reduce received damage. An increase to parry rate and the ability to stun just serves to assert your place at the top of the aggro chain.
