Spring Rain Festival This page relates to a quest, mob, event, or item involved in the annual Spring Rain Festival (April to May)

In 2024, the Spring Rain Festival began on March 27th (patch 7.4.0.2996) and ended on April 25th (patch 7.4.0.2997), opening the Music Festival.

The Spring Festival

Spring has sprung! The sun is shining, flowers are blooming and bees are buzzing, so the natives are getting restless. Jump into all the exciting activities waiting for you in Varanas and the Obsidian Stronghold. It's time for the Spring Festival: find the lost wabbits, collect rainbow eggs or fight dastardly goblins.

Earth Spirit Crystal Earth Spirit Crystal ×12 may be exchanged for gifts with Lina Wabbit in Varanas Central Plaza, Nier Wabbit in Obsidian Stronghold Glory Square, or Aywa Wabbit in Abandoned District of Dalanis.

Easter Events[]

Winter is slowly losing its icy grip on the lands. All across Taborea, Wabbits are emerging from bushes and burrows to enjoy the gentle sunshine. Wabbits and clement weather – what else do you need to celebrate spring in Taborea? Ah, of course! Events! If you prefer to celebrate the holidays with exhilarating action rather than relaxation, we’ve got just the thing.

Custom Drops[]

In all zones, all mobs will drop Coin of Petals (7 Days) Coin of Petals (7 Days) ×1.

Exchange[]

The four festival NPCs Owenstein, Hilary, Frank, and Eve will be in Varanas Central Plaza trading Coins of Petals Coins of Petals for Honor Points Honor Points ×500, Heart of the Cenedril Heart of the Cenedril ×1, Strange Watermelon Seed Strange Watermelon Seed ×7 and Energy of Justice Energy of Justice ×50, or Magic Instrument Collection Box Magic Instrument Collection Box ×1, Proof of Myth Proof of Myth ×2, and Universal Potion Universal Potion ×5.

Easter Gift[]

There’s a surprise in store for you every day between 4/7/2023 and 4/10/2023, and you can look forward to various useful items to help you on your adventures. If you have multiple characters on your account, the presents will land in the mailbox of the first character you log in with. Even if you miss a day during this period, it won’t have any effect on the remaining presents.

The Gift Box rewards can contain a Dress Box that, when opened, gives you one of the following:

Dress Box costumes are all Item Shop Items and are permanent. As such, they are the real Treasure from this event and are highly sought after.

Howling Mountains[]

Stolen Rainbow Eggs[]

Speak to Lina Wabbit in Varanas Central Plaza or Nier Wabbit in Obsidian Stronghold.

Go to Hidden Valley Mines, in southern Howling Mountains, and punish goblins. Catch a Goblin Egg Thief (3 Elite) and he will drop a Stolen Rainbow Egg Stolen Rainbow Egg. If you cannot find any more thieves, kill the other goblins and they will respawn as Thieves.

Take 10 Stolen Rainbow Egg Stolen Rainbow Eggs to Lina Wabbit in Varanas or Nier Wabbit in Obsidian Stronghold. Although you can farm the Thieves for eggs all day long, you can only exchange 10 eggs for Earth Spirit Crystal Earth Spirit Crystal ×3 and an Empty Magical Bag Empty Magical Bag once per day.

The Murder Bunny[]

Help Conjurer Tom defeat the Murder Bunny (aka Vorpal Bunny!) and save the countless lives of Varanas citizens. But beware his HUGE FANGS!

You must defeat the Murder Bunny before it kills 100 Varanas Soldiers. The Murder Bunny is level 115 but worry not, brave knight! The way forward is not conflict, but exactly following the directions from Conjurer Tom and using the Hallowed Hand Grenade correctly!

You have a row of special skills, but every time you move, they shuffle! You need to find the right skills and use them in the correct order:

  1. Move close enough but not too close!
  2. target the Murder Bunny
  3. Target a Varanas Soldier to use him as a human shield
  4. Press "Pull the Pin"
  5. Press "Count to 3"
  6. At this time you will "Lobbeth the Hallowed Hand Grenade towards mine enemies who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it." (all say "Amen!")

This event was introduced in 2020, and it very closely follows the famous Vorpal Bunny scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Gathering the leaves[]

Logar
Requires an Empty Magical Bag Empty Magical Bag (a reward from returning Stolen Rainbow Eggs)

  • Click on the upper branches of the Rainbow Tree next to the Windmill in Logar to gather leaves. You will need to climb the rainbow ladder to the crown of the tree (pure Mario-skillz. Jump from pad to pad till you reach the top, then onto the branch to get the leaves). Bring the Filled Magical Bag back to Gaia Wabbit (right there at the base of the tree in Logar) or Lina Wabbit (back in Varanas Central Plaza) for your reward.
  • This is one of those damn hopping games. Unless your computer is elite and your internet connection flawless you will never make it to the top. I actually made all the stones up to the branch, but failed every time I tried to jump onto the branch.
  • Rewards:
    • Blessing of the Spring Rain Festival (random? effect)
      • Forget-me-not Dreamland (30% riding speed increase for 60 minutes)
    • Earth Spirit Crystal Earth Spirit Crystal ×3

Happy Digging[]

Helen's Farm
Find the Wabbit at Helen's Farm and he may lead you to a place where interesting (Earth Spirit Crystal Earth Spirit Crystal) things are hidden.

This event takes place three times each day: 11am/4pm/8pm (PST), 1pm/6pm/10pm (CST), or 2pm/7pm/11pm (EST). There are three Wabbits at the farm (plus two managers). When the time arrives, talk to one of the three smaller Wabbits. He will then tell you to follow him and take off, leading you to the first patch of ground with five suspicious mounds of earth. Target reticules will appear on each with a bouncing orange arrow. Put your mouse over the arrow and, when the mouse cursor changes to a pickaxe, click. Each time you dig you may get: Nothing, A small, medium or large bomb, a snail that attacks you (3 Elite), a Phirius Elixir - Type A Phirius Elixir - Type A or Phirius Potion - Type A Phirius Potion - Type A, or one Earth Spirit Crystal Earth Spirit Crystal. Depending on how many others are there, digging, you should have time to click on three mounds before they vanish. Each Wabbit will go to four places before that round ends. You can run back to the farm and repeat as many times as you can squeeze into the hour.

This event runs hourly from 9pm to midnight (server time) each day. Speak to Clifford Sharansk in Varanas Administration District to sign up. Sign-up opens 3 minutes before the event begins!

Can't find the event course? That's okay, Boolea Mary will transport you there from Varanas Gates.

Hunt transformed players and slow other Hunters, or avoid the Hunters and eat carrots, and collect points.

After the event begins, the first player to grab the red ball becomes a Wabbit. Only a Wabbit can earn points, so other human players must try and snatch the opportunity to transform from the current Wabbit. Also, be careful not to venture out of bounds!

Wabbit Rules

  • A Wabbit earns points by surviving as long as possible.
  • Wabbits can also grab carrots to earn extra points as well as speed bonuses.

Hunter Rules
(sung) Be vewy qwi-et! Ahm huntin' Wab-bits!

  • Hunters must touch Wabbits to obtain the ability to transform.
  • Hunters can use attack spells to slow down other Hunters and Wabbits.
  • Using attack spells on other Hunters provides a temporary speed boost.

Speak to Cecil Owanni [Painting Expert] at Varanas Gates, he will SEND you to the area where the Enigmatic Flowers may be found (The island in the Lake of Magic Mist). Collect flowers for paint (Resplendent Petal ×6), give the petals to Cecil Owanni, then get Colored Paint ×6 and a Pure White Egg Pure White Egg.

Now speak to the Painting Masters to create your artwork!

Ask for help (twice each, for free, total 6 tries), then take your egg back to Cecil Owanni for a reward (depending on completion (or hold onto it to paint more tomorrow).

The Painting Masters will lend you their paints, to continue the work, for a fee:

  • Transport Rune Transport Rune ×1 (Cash Value: $.09) to continue helping you paint the eggs. Raises completion rate by 1% to 40%.
  • Transport Rune Transport Rune ×2 (Cash Value: $.18) to help you perfect the paint job on the eggs.
  • Transport Rune Transport Rune ×6 (Cash Value: $.54) to use special colors to paint rainbow eggs. Always produces a Legendary Rainbow Egg Legendary Rainbow Egg.

Each day that you paint eggs continues to raise your Completion Rate.

    While in possession of a Disguise Tool Set Disguise Tool Set, you need to click on a Lost Power of Nature dropped by an Ethereal Spectrum Chicken. Depending on the elemental type of Lost Power you will get a different Elemental Disguise Tool Set Elemental Disguise Tool Set.
    • The chickens congregate just east of the path at the base of the Varanas Bridge. You do not need to chase them, just wait here and they will come back to you throughout this task.
  2. Use the Elemental Disguise Tool Set Elemental Disguise Tool Set to don your Wabbit Disguise Wabbit Disguise.
  3. Use the temporary skill, Eggfire Eggfire, to ease an Ethereal Spectrum Chicken's egg-laying so you receive her Sublime Chicken Egg Sublime Chicken Egg.
  4. Take the Sublime Chicken Egg Sublime Chicken Egg to Angela Bix.

After speaking to Yakubi Wabbit and agreeing to play, you have up to 2 hours (Wabbit Game Certificate Wabbit Game Certificate) to speak to the White Play Wabbit or Brown Play Wabbit in the middle and receive Paint Bullet Paint Bullet. Target a tortoise and use this skill to stop him. Be quick! When you are hit by 3 turtles the game is over.

Target one and use the empty box to get a Found Wabbit Found Wabbit. Return to Kekai Wabbit when you have Found Wabbit Found Wabbit ×5. This may be done once per day.

Speak to Jessica Bunni. Find the wabbits in Thunderhoof Hills and bring them home. There are three groups of Wabbits. You only need to help ONE of them. The amount of time you have to complete this task appears to vary randomly from 3:00 to 5:30 minutes.

  • A Wabbit doing some sightseeing (1 Wabbit)
  • A Wabbit couple (2 Wabbits)
  • A band of good Wabbit friends (4 Wabbits, we hope you have dropped ink at all 4 Rabbit Holes!)

Move as fast as you can, the rabbit(s) will keep up, even if you cross water or use your Transport Book (do NOT leave Thunderhoof Hills in ANY way!)! Right after joining you, the Wabbit(s) will whisper a hint of where home is!

To deliver your charge, you need to click on the Rabbit Hole.

For your reward, return back to Jessica Bunni:

There MAY be a timer I did not notice, as when I got back to Jessica Bunni, she said I had failed! AND... I got nothing.
