Guardians are a special type of Golem, animated by the arcane technology of runes.

Over a thousand years ago, when the Demons rose and the Ancient Kingdom tried to fight them with Rune Technology, the human scientist/magicians created the Guardians to defend Humanity. In the modern world, centuries after almost all traces of the Demons are gone, some Guardians still exist but very few run as well as they used to. Many have failed their primary programming and now attack anything that gets too close to them.

Guardian is the correct name of what we were originally calling Rune Guardian. Once they are all moved to here we should remove this note.
