According to Krayden on the RoM Discord channel, "the Bow is better on long fights only for  Scout / Warden (S/Wd) because it allows for more shots to be fired faster, which does much more damage on S/Wd than other  Scout classes. If you are looking for burst damage, Crossbow is far superior. Or if you are looking to play any other combo as well that isn’t S/Wd you are better off with crossbow for the multipurpose.

Normal bows are generally used by all other combos with  Scout as Secondary. That being said, the normal Bow loses out to the Crossbow for S/Wd burn as well."

The Bow has a range of 40 increase over the Crossbow.

A crafted bow is good when you first reach a new level, a quested bow is generally better, but certain boss-dropped bows will be the best you can get.
