This summarized page lists in-game items or topics best summed up with a single wiki article. This is so we can avoid making dozens of pages all dealing with slight variations of the same thing. If they are created at all, the individual pages should all redirect here.
For other articles with related titles, see Encyclopedia.
You can upload an image showing how this item appears in-game when used to File:Portrait - Blacksmithing Encyclopedia.jpg. Please remember to crop the image to avoid as much UI and non-relevant game background as possible, and it should be in JPG format. You can override the default name and/or image format using the portraitname field of this template.
According to the database, volumes I, II, & III are also available in 1 Day versions, and Secrets and Heritage can be found in 30 Days versions, but commonly the only version available in the Item Shop is the 7 Days versions..
These books do not bypass the quest requirements to get to the next rank. At 20, 40, 60, & 80 you will stop gaining XP until you complete the Crafting quest. After you can gain XP via the book until you reach the next level, then you must purchase the next higher volume.
For each 60 seconds spent reading this book in your Residence, at level 60 trying to get to 61, I see the following results:
You're refreshed and you learn doubly quick: +0.10%
Your efforts result in steady progress: +0.08%
You quickly thumbed through it. There are still a lot of things you don't understand.: +0.05%
You fell asleep while reading. You wasted so much time.: +0.03%
In each cell, the level range is 1-20/21-40/41-60/61-80/81-100. You must remain logged in and studying to gain XP/Skill. If you lose connection (linkdead) studying is suspended until you re-login. Gathering Encyclopedia only have 3 volumes, but they still fit this table (within a hundredth of a percent). The first volume goes from 1 to 60.
