This is a Regional Event. This means that it is infinitely-repeatable. Progress depends on successful completion of each step. All players in the region may participate and all contribute to task completion. If time expires without completion then it goes directly to the final or cooldown task before the event begins again. Rewards are given at the end of each phase dependent on participation.

Summary

An unknown transportation energy has appeared in Khalara Plateau beside the Obsidian Stronghold. The invaders must be driven back immediately in order to ensure the safety of the Obsidian Stronghold.

Spoiler Alert! We have some more information about how to perform this quest but recognize you might want to try it on your own before we tell you the secret...
Speak to Gugan Gelitz to be transported from Obisdian Stronghold Battle Square (near the Snoop Portal) to the current location of the battle.

Regional Events are infinitely repeatable by all players within the Region. In all zones they reward  Energy of Justice based on your participation in the Event (measured by your  Public Event Points, usually  Energy of Justice ×1 per Public Event Points ×300). Just a word: Originally, any Public Quests contribution of  Public Event Points you handed in during the "reset timer" would be lost into the void. At some point, they snuck in an update to prevent this. Now, if the reset timer is active, a message saying "MAINTAIN THE STATUS QUO" will be seen and the NPC will refuse to accept the turn-in until the Event restarts.

1. Unexpected Enemy - Lamont Tikilnis of the Eye of Wisdom has detected an unknown transportation energy near the Obsidian Stronghold.
   • Defeat the invaders in Khalara Plateau (3)
2. Opening for a Counterattack - Pass through the water-top corridor to the enemy camp. Some of our troops have gone in ahead, so be sure to join up with them. - Lamont Tikilnis of the Eye of Wisdom has discovered the source of the enemies power and opened a corridor linking Valley of Scars to the enemy camp. Pass through the corridor and assist them.
   • Traverse the water corridor (15 min)
3. Mage Lamont Tikilnis, protector of the corridor
   • Mage Lamont Tikilnis withdraws
4. Mop up the enemy army entrenched in Valley of Scars.
   • Defeat the leader of the enemy army entrenched in Valley of Scars directly beneath the Chasm Bridge.
5. Cooldown - All of the invader portals in Dust Devil Canyon have been closed, but the residual runic energy hasn't totally dissipated. The invaders have not yet given up thier attack on the Obsidian Stronghold.
   • Regional Task will reset in 2 minutes.
