Adventurer, I need your help.

My adopted son Dion frequently wanders to Dead Tree Cave in the depths of Sevaida Woods for his silly little adventures, armed with a puddle-deep knowledge of a few combat techniques. I often warn him of the dangers of the Dead Tree Cave, but he will not listen to me.

Now, he has vanished. While I beleve he has most likely gone to the Dead Tree Cave, the guards here have their own problems. I cannot ask the townspeople, who know nothing of combat, to take such a risk as to help me. So I am afraid it must fall to you to look for Dion at the Dead Tree Cave. Tell him to come back soon, so that the townspeople will not be worried about him.

The Sevalda Woods are west of our town. Walk straight along the base of the southern mountain cliff, and after a time, you will see a huge tree. The Dead Tree Cave lies just beneath it.
